According to a report by Yonhap News Agency on July 24th, the Korea Electric Power Research Institute released the “2030 Global Clean Hydrogen Supply Outlook”, stating that as governments around the world increase policy and financial support for clean hydrogen technology projects, the global clean hydrogen supply will reach 16.4 million tons by 2030, of which 59% will be green hydrogen produced by water electrolysis and 41% will be blue hydrogen produced by carbon capture and other methods. The United States, China, and Europe will become the main suppliers of clean hydrogen, with the United States expected to become the largest exporter of clean hydrogen. South Korea, which established the world’s first clean hydrogen power bidding market this year, is expected to import 400000 tons of clean hydrogen by 2028.
